Please join the Barnet Safeguarding Children Partnership on the 25th March, 9-9.45am for a breakfast briefing about their multi-agency partnership to tackle child abuse and neglect in Barnet. Colleagues across the council, health, police, education and the voluntary, community and faith sector are welcome to join to find out more about how we’re working together to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Tina McElligott, Director of Early Help & Children’s Social Care, Ben Thomas, Assistant Director for Education, Strategy and Partnerships, Phil Davies, Detective Chief Inspector, Paul de Keyser, Designated Doctor for Children’s Safeguarding and Christine Jenkinson, Designated Nurse for Looked After Children will be presenting the briefing.

The briefing will feature the Partnership’s newly-published annual report and outline our strategic priorities for the coming year, which include transitional safeguarding, elective home education and modern slavery. There will be a presentation followed by Q&A and an opportunity to share your views about how the Partnership can support your role and tackle key local issues.
