Senior Finance Officer– Part Time


Purpose of the role:   

We are looking for an experienced, qualified accountant (or someone with equivalent experience) to join YBF in the newly created role of Senior Finance Officer. This exciting new role has been introduced to provide support to the operations team to facilitate the growth of the organisation. You will work closely with the Head of Operations in ensuring the smooth running of the finance functions. Reporting into the Head of Operations, you will be supported by the operations team and external accountants where required. We would ideally like someone who has experience of working within a charity finance setting as well as knowledge and understanding of both grant management and grant giving. But most importantly, someone who is open minded, willing to learn and shows confidence in checking and challenging processes and procedures.

Location: YBF Office – East Barnet

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 pro-rata (depending on experience and successfully completions of probation)

Vacancy Type: 12-month fixed term contract, with potential extension subject to funding.

Hours: 21 hours per week (plus statutory breaks)

Head of Fundraising

Purpose of the role:   

  • As a Bid Writing professional, you will be responsible for raising significant funds (Corporate, Community, Trusts & Foundations).  Working with the CEO to secure new business partnerships to achieve sustainable, long-term funding, contract-winning and other income generation for Young Barnet Foundation. 

  • As a member of the Senior Leadership Team responsible for the Fundraising, you will develop and deliver appropriate strategies to manage, implement and oversee fundraising activities.  

  • Responsible for supporting YBF members through training, funding opportunities and grant applications and sharing knowledge and experience with over 200 members (1 day per week)

Location: YBF Office – East Barnet

Salary: £36,000 (pro-rata £45,000), Pension and flexible working, 25 days per annum, pro rata, plus bank holidays. Holidays will increase in accordance with our Annual Leave Policy.

On activation and after satisfactory completion of the probationary period, YBF will contribute, in line with government requirements, into a stakeholder or personal pension scheme.

Vacancy Type: 12-month fixed term contract, with potential extension subject to funding.

Hours: Part-Time – 28 hrs per week (plus statutory breaks). Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.

Please note the role will occasionally involve evening and early morning events, YBF works closely with their staff to accommodate personal circumstances.

Member Development Officer
 

The Role

  • We are looking for a Member Development Officer to join our friendly and collaborative Member Development Team at an exciting time of growth and development.

  • This role is central to supporting and strengthening our member organisations. You will work closely with colleagues to provide one-to-one support, encourage collaboration, identify gaps and opportunities, and help ensure that organisations working with children and young people in Barnet are supported to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored one-to-one support to member organisations, including onboarding, advice, signposting and organisational development

  • Support collaboration and partnership working between member organisations and local stakeholders

  • Help identify funding needs and support members to access fundraising and bidding opportunities

  • Support the delivery of member networks, forums and engagement events

  • Gather insight from members to inform YBF strategy, advocacy and reporting

  • Maintain accurate records using YBF’s CRM system (Salesforce)

  • Promote YBF’s commitments to equality, diversity, inclusion and environmental sustainability​​​

Location: Hybrid – Barnet

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 pro rata (£16,200 – £24,000)

Vacancy Type: Part-time, Fixed-term (12 months)

Hours: 21 hours per week​​​​​​
