2021 Campaign Wrap Up

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported our 2021 Christmas Gift Campaign!
Thanks to the generosity of the Barnet community's residents, schools, businesses and organisations, we have distributed 1,991 wrapped gifts to disadvantaged children and young people in our borough via our members and partners.
We are so grateful for all the support, the kind donations, and the help we received from so many volunteers who gave up their evenings and afternoons to help us wrap hundreds of presents! It's a fantastic demonstration of what can be achieved when the whole community comes together.
So on behalf of everyone at Young Barnet Foundation, our members and partners, and the hundreds of local children & young people you helped deliver a smile to this Christmas, thank you for your support and we wish you a very happy holidays!

ABOUT THE CHRISTMAS GIFT CAMPAIGN
Everyone deserves to feel special at Christmas and what better way than to receive a present? Yet we know many children and young people in Barnet are currently living in poverty with the pandemic only increasing the challenges and pressures placed on struggling families.
Young Barnet Foundation members support the most disadvantaged children and young people living in our borough including refugee children and young people and those in care.
Since launching our annual Christmas Gift Campaign in 2018, we have distributed 5,351 gifts to children and young people living in the borough via local charities, social enterprises, and community/faith groups.
If you are a resident, business or organisation living in Barnet and are in a position to help, please consider supporting our Christmas Gift campaign and help us deliver a smile to hundreds of local children and young people this Christmas!
Here are the different ways you can help:
MAKE A FINANCIAL DONATION
Young Barnet Foundation will use any money contributed to bulk buy presents at a discounted rate, ensuring more gifts can be distributed and making your money go further.
GIVE A GIFT
You can send toys, games, and books to the following address:
Young Barnet Foundation, Old East Barnet Library, 85 Brookhill Road, Barnet EN4 8SG.
Although the preference is for new items to be donated, we also accept pre-used gifts provided they are in good condition.

There are so many people that need to be thanked, starting with all residents who kindly donated gifts or money to allow us to purchase gifts and the 46 amazing wrappers who donated 186 hours wrapping gifts.
"Thank you so much for these wonderful gifts. Christmas is such a tough time of year for the bereaved families we support but these presents have put a big smile on children's faces. We can't thank you enough." Rob McCluskey, Family Programmes Manager

Thanks have to also go to Linkey for running the Amazon list and publicising the campaign, to all the other organsiations and residents who shared the campaign across social media, including Vicky Pattison and Rachel Riley.
