2024 Main Grant - Space2Grow #35
The Space2Grow#35 grant is now closed for applications.

Members should note that there have been significant changes to the criteria for this funding since previous years. You will need to read the criteria document (and its appendices) in full to ensure that you fully understand the revised requirements of the Main Grant for this year.
For projects starting from 1st March 2025, this grant will award up to £9,000 for Young Barnet Foundation members to deliver activities, opportunities and support services meeting the needs of Children and Young people in the London Borough of Barnet. Projects will need to demonstrate how they able to support the Mental Health support needs of participants.

Further details are provided in the criteria document, but we also ask applicants to focus on projects which address the following themes:
• Early Intervention & Prevention
• Suicidal Ideation
• Supporting Children & Young People from Ethnic Minorities
• Supporting Young Carers

Who can apply
​This fund is open to Young Barnet Foundation VCFSE members who deliver activities and services in Barnet. You must have applied to be a member prior to the 1st August 2024.

Application Process
Application is via the online application form only. It has been designed to be simple to complete as possible, with the aim it should not take more than 45-60 minutes to complete. Please note that once you start the form you cannot save it and come back to it later, however, a pdf version of the form is available here for you to review questions and draft answers, that can then be copy and pasted into form.

Please note that if you are working in partnership with other organisations, be that YBF members or other, they must complete the Partnership Working Form linked below - they will need to know the project name you have given in your application.

What can we apply for?
​Between £3,000 and £9,000 for up to a 12 month project.

What support can I get?
​The awards are decided by an independent panel, this allows Young Barnet Foundation staff to assist with the scoping and development of a project. If you would like help from one of the Member Development Officers or our Fundraising & Partnership Manager please complete the expression of interest form and one of the team will be in touch.
